About these terms
These terms cover two things: the work Car Jumpstart Pros carries out, and how this website may be used. A booking made by phone, WhatsApp or email is made on these terms.
They sit alongside Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection and its later amendments. Where that law gives you a right, these terms do not reduce it.
Throughout, "we" and "us" refer to Car Jumpstart Pros. "You" means whoever books the job, or the vehicle's owner.
The work we do
Technicians travel to homes, workplaces, car parks and roadsides. The scope of each type of job is described on its own page of this site.
Technicians test before they replace anything. If the fault lies somewhere other than the part you called about, you will be told, even where that means a smaller job.
Some faults cannot be fixed safely where the vehicle stands. When that happens we will say so and, where it is the right answer, arrange towing or recovery instead of attempting an unsafe repair.
Booking and arrival
Before anyone is dispatched, you are told what the job involves and what it will cost.
Arrival estimates are given in good faith, based on the technician nearest to you. Published averages and the drive times shown on this site are typical figures, not promises. Traffic, weather, building or community access rules and demand at busy times can all change them.
If we expect to arrive materially later than the estimate you were given, we will tell you. You may cancel at that point without charge.
Prices and payment
Starting prices shown on this site are the lowest price for that type of job. What you actually pay is the figure agreed for your own vehicle and location.
- All prices are in UAE Dirhams (AED), and the figure is agreed with you before the job starts.
- A supply and fit price includes bringing the part to you, fitting it and the warranty on it.
- There is no separate charge for diagnosis on a job we then go on to carry out.
- If further work turns out to be needed, the technician stops and quotes it before continuing.
- Payment is due when the work is finished. Cash and card are accepted, along with any other method offered when you book.
- A VAT invoice is available for every job on request.
Cancellations
Cancelling costs nothing as long as the technician has not yet left for your location.
After the technician has made the journey, we may charge a call-out fee when a job is called off for reasons unrelated to how we performed.
Where the cancellation is ours, or the job cannot be finished, there is no charge for the unfinished work.
Warranty
Batteries we supply carry a manufacturer-backed warranty of 12, 18 or 24 months depending on brand and model. The term that applies to you is written on your invoice.
Our workmanship is also covered. If a service was not carried out properly, you are entitled to have it put right.
Full details, including how to claim and what is not covered, are set out in the warranty policy.
Read the warranty policyWhat we ask of you
- Tell us correctly where the car is and what make, model and year it is.
- Be the owner of the vehicle, or have the owner's agreement to the work.
- Tell the technician about previous electrical work, modifications or warning lights you are aware of.
- Make sure the vehicle can be reached safely, and move away from live traffic where you can.
- Follow advice the technician gives about further repairs. Ignoring it can affect the warranty.
Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for carrying out the work with reasonable care and skill and for the parts we supply.
We are not responsible for faults that existed before we attended and were unrelated to the work, for damage caused by parts or repairs supplied by someone else, or for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control.
This section does not limit any liability that cannot be limited under UAE law, and it does not affect the consumer rights described in section 1.
